Summary

bestdogcarseat.com is a content site. We do not require accounts, do not sell anything directly, and do not collect personal information you did not choose to send us. The only personal data we typically have is what you write into our contact email.

What we collect automatically

• Server logs. Our hosting provider (Hostinger) records standard request data: IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp, and referrer. This is used for security and abuse prevention. Logs are retained for up to 30 days.
• Analytics. We may use a privacy-respecting analytics tool to count anonymous visits and measure which pages are popular. We do not use Google Analytics or any tool that fingerprints individual users across sites.
• Cookies. The site itself sets functional cookies for caching and theme preferences. Amazon may set its own cookies when you click an affiliate link; those are governed by Amazon’s policy, not ours.

What we collect when you contact us

If you email contact@bestdogcarseat.com, your email address and message are stored in our inbox. We use this only to reply. We do not add you to any mailing list, and we do not share your email with third parties.

Affiliate links and Amazon

When you click an Amazon link from this site, you are sent to Amazon.com with a tracking parameter that tells Amazon you came from us. Amazon then handles your shopping session under their own privacy practices. We never see your Amazon account, payment information, or order details. We only receive aggregated commission reports from Amazon, with no personally identifiable buyer information.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you
• Ask us to correct or delete that data
• Object to certain processing
• Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority (EU/UK residents) or the California Privacy Protection Agency (California residents)

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

We will update this page when we change how data is handled. The effective date at the top will reflect the most recent change. Substantive changes will be summarized at the top of the page for at least 30 days.
